David started his career when he was an apprentice working for Vickers Shipbuilders at the time of building the new Type 42 destroyers for the UK Royal Navy. He then graduated in Engineering and for many years was a performance engineer and designer for Rolls Royce engines for military defense.
After these early years he became a trouble shooter for one of the oil industry leaders and then settled with one of UK’s primes to lead some of the most challenging European product programs in the late 80’s. This included the new power management system for the Airbus A330 / A340 which required a software based health monitoring system – ground breaking fault diagnosis technology not previously developed.
Since then he went on to pursue commercial projects such as the establishment of a new airport facility in Xiamen China, a great operational success today. He then led a new enterprise in Research and Development to bring innovative and disruptive air vehicle solutions into military aerospace; the Urgent Operational Requirement projects for UK MOD including various ISR and defense combat solutions and new concept solutions for Boeing Phantom Works.
His most recent work has involved the development of disruptive product solutions across a wide range of applications; in particular threat representation of hypersonic missiles, anti-drone solutions for hi-jacking incoming drone threats, and innovation of solutions for hypersonic anti-missile missiles as part of the Western Defense initiative.
